Copenhagen, Denmark - With over 25 years of experience 2014 host broadcaster, DR, have appointed Kamilla Monies as Head of Production for next year's Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark.
When the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Denmark next year, one of the country's most experienced production chiefs will be responsible for the techinical production of the three live shows.

Kamilla Monies will thus be taking a break from her current position as Head of Production at Nordisk Film TV in order to take on a similar role at Europe's favourite TV show.

Throughout her 25 years of experience, Kamilla Monies has been behind the production of some of Denmark's biggest TV shows including the highly successful franchise X-Factor and entertainment show Showtime.

As part of her tenure at X-Factor she was behind the production of two of the most tehnically advanced shows in Denmark's history - the live finals from the Parken stadium in Copenhagen in 2010 and 2011. Her experience here is part of the reason why she has been chosen to join DR's Eurovision Song Contest team.
The biggest technical set-up ever

Pernille Gaardbo, who was appointed Executive Producer for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest is excited to have Kamilla Monies on board.

"The Eurovision Song Contest will be an enormous undertaking with what possibly will be the largest tehnical set-up ever in Denmark. It was therefore crucial that we find a production leader that has experience with the biggest shows and there is no one in Denmark who can even come close to Kamilla", she says.

"A the same time she has previously proved that she - together with Per Zachariassen and Jan Lundme - represents an extremely strong team at the largest events and I am very much looking forward to working together", continues Pernille Gaardbo.
Grand Final on the 10th of May

Kamilla Monies will retain her position at Nordisk Film TV but will work for DR until the Eurovision Song Contest project is complete. She starts on the 1st of September 2013.

The final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 10th of May with Semi-Finals on the 6th and the 8th. The venue has not yet been revealed but stay tuned for more news about next year's show right here at Eurovision.tv.
