Andreas Kleerup will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 first Semi-Final.
In an interlude inspired by the Northern Lights, we will able to see on May 14 writing by one of the most acclaimed musicians - Andreas Kleerup.
One of the largest producers, Andreas Kleerup, has a role in the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. There he will specially write a song for one of the acts, named "Northern Light" and inspired by the natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights. Kleerup will also participate on stage, but what role he will have there is still a secret.

Christer Björkman explains the choice of Andreas Kleerup as obvious. According to him, turned producer, fit perfectly into the intermission they now create.- It's his artistry we want. Second Semi-Final 16th May
Eurovision Semi-Final brings back 'orchestra'

The interval act of this year's second Semi-Final will bring back the orchestra to the Eurovision Song Contest. However, it's a particular type of an orchestra.
Eurovision Song Contest used to feature a full symphony orchestra for many years. As times changed, so did the contest and the music scene. That is why today there is no orchestra present at the contest.
However, this year SVT wants to bring it back - just for the interval act of the second Semi-Final and in a way that's not the most usual one. It'll be made up of dancers.
The best dancers in Sweden will be gathered together for the act and each of them will 'become' a different music instrument guiding us through the history of the contest.
In the end, the 'instruments' will form a full symphony orchestra. That's how the people behind the act, Fredrik "Benke" Rydman and Jennie Widegren, see this.
"Finally, we will have created a piece of music, with a full symphony orchestra," describes Jennie Widegren. A"nd then break it off with something completely different, modern synthesisers and sound along with BMX bikes will represent the new modern era."
You can see the impressive act already in a month when the second Semi-Final of this year's contest will be held.

Darin confirmed as Semi-Final 2 interval act

- We can now reveal that pop star Darin will join Agnes as the interval act next Thursday during the second Semi-Final. The performance entitled Swedish Pop Voices will involve Darin and Agnes performing medleys of their biggest hits.
Back in 1974, ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo and already back then, the term "The Swedish Pop Wonder" was used to described its effect on the global music industry.
Since then Sweden has has made its mark on the world music map and next Thursday a new generation of Swedish pop artists will take their places on the Eurovision stage in Malmö when Darin and Agnes will perform a medley of their songs as the interval act in the second Semi-Final.
Together with musicians, choirs and dancers on stage, Darin will perform a medley of Nobody Knows and So Yours.
"We are so proud to be able to offer all of Europe two of Sweden's best pop voices right now", says Christer Björkman, show producer for the Eurovision Song Contest, "Darin will perform a spectacular number that will raise the roof in the arena, and Agnes with her beautiful voice shines like the international star that she is", concludes Christer Björkman.

Darin and Agnes take part in Eurovision Second Semi-Final
Two of Sweden's biggest pop stars will participate in Eurovision - in the Second Semi Final. So it will be Agnes and Darin's show. In a number called "Swedish Pop Voices", two Swedish artists will sing some of their greatest hits.

- We are immensely proud to show all of Europe two of the strongest popstars right now. Darin emerges with a spectacular numbers that will get the roof of the arena to lift, and Agnes with her wonderful voice shines like the international star she is, says Christer Björkman.
Already in the 1970s the talk was about "the Swedish pop wonder" by ABBA's victory with "Waterloo" in the Eurovision Song Contest 1974. Since then, Sweden has had its place in the world popkarta.
Next Thursday will take the new generation of Swedish pop artists place on Eurovision stage in Malmö, when Darin and Agnes front varsitt medley on the second Semifinals intermission of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
Along with musicians, choir and dancers on stage, Darin running a medley of "Nobody Knows" and "So Yours".

Carola to Eurovision final in Malmö

- We can reveal that Swedish superstar Carola Häggkvist will be part of the interval act in the Grand Final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest on the 18th of May. She will play a decisive role in one of the biggest and craziest interval acts in the competition's history.

She has competed in the Eurovision Song Contest three times and has even won it once. She has also taken part in the Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen in a number of ways including as an artist, interval act, and presenter. Therefore host broadcaster SVT were never in any doubt that she should be part of the big show in Malmö on the 18th of May.
"She is our biggest artists so is in a way a part of Sweden. She is a household name and as such it is in many ways a given that she should describe Sweden", says Christer Björkman, show producer for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Crazy, spectacular and full of props
The interval act is a humourous show where Sweden and swedishness will be in focus. Carola is just one of many elements that will be seen in the spectacular number, something that Christa describes as something very different.
"It is one of the most crazy, spectacular and prop-mad numbers ever done. It is very good, fun and wonderful".
Carola will sing dance and just have fun, something that is desribed as a core element of being "Swedish".

Carola to Eurovision - the spectacular show numbers of Swedish culture
Sweden's biggest star Carola will come to Eurovision - and participate in one of the most crazy numbers in Eurovision history. "She will sing, dance and be funny," said Christer Björkman.

She has competed in the Eurovision Song Contest three times and won once. She has also appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest in a variety of ways - as a performer, intermission and hostess. Therefore, there was never any doubt that she would also be seen by the Eurovision settled in Sweden.

In the final of Melodifestivalen Carola appeared with a new version of the classic winning song "Strangers". And even then, it was decided that she would be involved also in the international final.
- The basis for this intermission we had redna from the beginning, when we talked both about Eurovision appearance and this. Basically it's the same idea as we were talking about, then, that she would show up a humor site, so she has been aware of the long, says Chris.
What will she do?
- She is part of an intermission where she will sing, dance and be funny. It's based on humor, and she is part of a larger context. It's all about Sweden and Swedish culture.
