The 2013 Italian Eurovision representative Marco Mengoni and the 2010 German Eurovision winner Lena Meyer- Laundrut will be battling for the 2013 MTV EMA Worldwide Act Award on November 10 in Amsterdam.

Both Marco Mengoni and Lena won their national MTV Awards in their respective countries.Then Marco won the 2013 MTV EMA Best Southern European Act Award whilst Lena went on to win the 2013 MTV EMA Best Central European Act Award. Hence they entered another competion where they were among 10 most voted acts worldwide. Now both the artists will have tough competition for the much coveted award, The 2013 MTV EMA Worldwide Act Award, as they will be competing against One Direction (Northern Europe), Justin Bieber (North America), Bednarek (Eastern Europe), Ahmed Soultan (Africa/India/Middle East), Cody Simpson (Australia/ New Zealand), Chris Lee( Mainland China/Hong Kong/SEA/Taiwan), Exo ( Japan/Korea) and Fresno (Latin America).
The 2013 MTV EMA Awards are scheduled to be held on November 10 at the Zigo Dome in Amsterdam. The event will be hosted by Redfoo from LMFAP and will be aired live at 21:00 hrs on MTV. You can vote for Lena and Marco Mengoni here.
Marco Mengoni is among the most sought after singers in Italy today. He has gained much popularity and recognition since his grandiose victory at the 2013 Sanremo Song Festival last February. He represented Italy at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with L'Essenziale, achieving a 7th placing.
Lena shot to fame in 2010 when she won the German Eurovision national final and went on to represent Germany at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. She brought back the Eurovision trophy to German soil after 28 years when she took Europe by storm with Satellite.
She was back on the Eurovision stage the following year yet again representing her homeland on home soil, in Dusseldor with Taken by a stranger, achieving an honourable 9th place.
