SVT to 'present artists' in postcards and another news

Malmö, Sweden - The postcards of this year's Eurovision Song Contest will be different compared to previous editions. This year's Host Broadcaster SVT want wants to use the films to present each artist instead.
Five teams with director, photographer and technical coordinator have started trips to Europe to meet with each artist. So far, the team has visited Iceland and their artist and on Thursday they're traveling to France and then to Italy. I LOVE THIS! Amazing idea! The postcards are very important to make the ESC more attractive. I'd like to send you lovely greetings from Ukraine! Just checked Iceland's photos and it looks pretty, cool, gorgeous and friendly! Wonder how the other artists would be portrayed! So INTERESTING, oh oh oh!)))

"We will welcome all countries viewers and make them feel involved with the programs. In a way, we extend a hand to Europe - where viewers get to see "their" artist portrayed in their own country," says Sven Stojanovic, Creative Director and co-producer of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.

Who will represent Ireland at Eurovision 2013?

The winning act will be selected on Eurosong 2013 on "The Late Late Show" on Friday February 22nd. The 2013 Irish Eurovision final will be aired live on RTE 1 at 22:35 CET and will be hosted by Ryan Tubridy. As was the case last year, Ireland’s Eurovision entry will be selected by a combination of public and regional jury vote.

This year’s Eurovision will be held in Malmö, Sweden, in May, with Ireland competing in the first semi-final on Tuesday May 14th. The Eurovision final takes place on Saturday May 18th.

Marco Mengoni is the winner of the 63rd Sanremo Music Festival, and Italian representer, internally selected by RAI to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö.

Danny Saucedo to sing with Alcazar on Melodifestivalen in Malmö on February 23rd.

On Saturday, in the interval-act of the 4th semifinal Danny will perform with Andreas Lundstedt, Tess Merkel, Lina Hedlund and sing three hits of the group! The performance will be bright, glamorous and mega-dance!
